Welcome to a new segment on my blog The (something) Wardrobe, where I’ll be coming up with six outfits using a particular material or pattern fit for any occasion. Satin can be sexy, sleek and even sophisticated. With satin becoming more and more popular in todays fashion trends I thought it would be the perfect material to start with. There will be a mixture of casual, smart and sexy so there’s something for everyone whether that’s a day spent shopping, a date or a night out on the town. If you’re not sure how to style satin, I have six ideas to help you out.

I’m sure you’ll of seen these sleek shirts everywhere over the last few years so it’s an essential piece of clothing so it was necessary for today’s post. My personal favourites are from Pretty Little Thing, they have them in so many colours you’ll want them all!
A satin shirt can easily be dressed down by wearing it with jeans, a pair of classic pointed ballet flats and a cross body satchel bag. Or dressed up with layered gold necklaces, heeled sandals and a handbag.

The slip dress is an iconic look which can be styled for any occasion with minimal effort. This satin look is an ideal option for when you want to dress to impress without too much hassle. A black dress is great for looking sexy and well put together. You can even make it edgy by layering it over a pair of jeans and a turtleneck.
Everybody and their nan has seen this trend around over the last few years. Midi skirts are very versatile and can be worn all year round. In winter they can be styled with a a chunky knit, ankle boots and an oversized coat. In summer they can be styled with a simple T-shirt, dainty jewellery and a pair of converse.
